Sri Lanka – China Friendship Association with the active participation of Buddhist Association of
China and Lin Yi Temple of Hangzhou ,China celebrated the 2600th Sambudhathva Jayanthi
anniversary by organizing donations of text books to Dhamma schools in Sri Lanka which
covered a many districts .
Mr.Shi Bin of the Cultural Section of the Embassy of People’s Republic of China traveled to
remote places along with SLCFA leadership .
Culmination of these programs was the donation of books to three Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim
schools in Vavuniya with the participation of HE Madam Yang Xiu Ping the Ambassador of the
People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka, District Secretary Vavuniya, Maj.Gen Sumedha Perera
Security Force Commander Vavuniya, Mr Ananda Goonetilake President SLCFA ,
Vuavuinya in 2011.
