Sri Lanka – China Friendship Association (SLCFA) recently organized a Seminar on Belt and Road Initiative as the inaugural discussion of the “University Teachers’ Group of the SLCFA. This was held on November 02, 2018 at the Sripalee Campus of the University of Colombo.
The key note address delivered by Professor Sandagomi Koparahewa, (Head of the Sinhala Department of University of Colombo) on the topic of “Beyond Silk : Languages Along the Silk Road”.
Professor Ranjan Hettiarachchi, the Rector of the Campus Chaired the Seminar and also addressed on Belt and Road Initiative. Ananda Goonatilleke, President of SLCFA read the message of the Chinese Embassy. Gamini Rajanayake – Treasurer, Chandana Wijekoon – Assistant Secretary, Chintha Goonatilleke – Assistant Treasurer and Priyanthi Rajanayake – Life Member of the SLCFA were present.
