The second phase of book donation by the Sri Lanka-China Friendship Association to celebrate Sambudatwa Jayanthiya on 3rd July 2011 took place in Colombo. The first phase of distribution of excise books took place at Attanagalla Rajamaha Viharaya on 19th June 2011.
Sri Lanka-China Friendship Association has made arrangements to distribute books to needy Dhamma Schools in Sri Lanka under the patronage of Buddhist Association of China. Exercise books were donated to Dhamma Schools of Gautama Viharaya at Green Park, Narahenpita, Sri Naga Viharaya Kotte, Royal College Colombo 07, Thilakerathnaramaya Borella and Sri Seewali Dhamma School of Sri Nagaviharya at Baseline Road, Colombo 08.
The price distribution of Royal College Dhamma School took place in their auditorium under the patronage of Mr.Upali Gunasekera- Principal Royal College. Royal College Dhamma School in turn gifted the exercise books to Revatha Dhamma School at Borella ;at the same function setting an example to help the needy Dhamma Schools .
These functions were held on 03rd July 2011 and same was graced by Mr.Shi Bin of the Cultural Affairs section of the Embassy of the Peoples Republic of China and Sumathi Dharmawardena (Attorney at Law) General Secretary of the Sri Lanka-China Friendship Association, and Vice Presidents – Mr.Rasanga Harischandra -(Attorney at Law)and Mr.Ajith Dharmawardena of SLCFA.
